SENIOR CONVEYANCER F/T

Job Qualifications

Education

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three (3) years of conveyancing experience.  Preference will be given to candidates who have completed a Legal Assistant Diploma or possess an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.

Experience + Skills

Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a conveyancing role preferred.

  • Proficiency with legal and office software, including Lawyer Done Deal, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Foxit, Land Titles and trust accounting software.
  • Experience with document automation systems is considered an asset.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients, colleagues, and staff.
  • Excellent organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to manage a high-volume workload, prioritize competing deadlines, and work efficiently under pressure.
  • Demonstrated commitment to delivering excellent client service through a client-focused approach.
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions, meet strict deadlines, and maintain accuracy.
  • Sound judgment, discretion, and the ability to maintain confidentiality while adapting to changing priorities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and process residential real estate purchase, sale, and mortgage documentation.
  • Coordinate and schedule client appointments and meetings.
  • Maintain and organize client files, including opening, updating, filing, and closing files.
  • Respond to client inquiries and communicate professionally with clients and members of the public.
  • Coordinate the flow of work between the responsible lawyer, clients, financial institutions and other law firms to ensure timely completion of transactions.
  • Draft and prepare legal documents, correspondence, and related documentation with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Provide proactive administrative and legal support to the lawyer’s conveyancing practice.
  • Perform administrative tasks, including time entry, billing preparation, and responding to information requests.
  • Carry out other related duties as assigned.
