About This Lawyer

Nick was called to the bar in 2025 and shortly thereafter joined Ahlstrom Wright LLP as an associate. Nick practices in the areas of wills and estates, real estate law, corporate law, and civil litigation.

Born and raised in Wainwright, Alberta, Nick has strong ties to the community and the region. Before pursuing a career in law, Nick played junior hockey in the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League and collegiate hockey in the Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC). Following his playing career, he remained involved in the sport through coaching and by advising players as they navigated opportunities and transitions within junior, collegiate, and professional hockey. This experience strengthened his skills in advocacy, negotiation, and helping individuals make informed decisions during important stages of their lives and careers.

Prior to entering private practice, Nick gained experience in corporate governance and contract review with a large public-sector organization, developing practical insight into regulatory compliance, risk management, and contract administration.

Nick is committed to providing practical, straightforward legal advice and works closely with individuals, families, and businesses to help them navigate legal issues with confidence and achieve their goals efficiently.

Outside the practice of law, Nick serves as a volunteer committee member on a Hockey Alberta tribunal. He also enjoys running marathons, golfing, and spending time outdoors.
